Double-degree program
Roman S
Italia, Posgrado
Ingeniería, Química, 2021
Valoración global
Russian Technical University - MIREA (Moscow) and Politecnico di Milano have got an agreement about Double Degree students so that students can study at both universities at the same time (full-time in Milan) and get two diplomas. I am only a first-year student and don't know all the pros and cons of the program, but I am sure that such an opportunity gives me more ways to develop my professional skills.

Studying at Politecnico di Milano, city of Milan has been my best experience. I would recommend the university to all the students with an interest towards the fundamental aspects and impacts of their applications in industrial field, and also to them who are looking for a inspiring city full of cultural events and good possibilities for a future career.

Politecnico is a great university which is situated in Milan which is the fashion capital. Students have plenty of opportunities during their stay here and the teachers are very cooperative and international standard. It's a top ranked university not only in Europe but also in the entire world. Plus the night life in Milano is amazing. I recommend this university and city highly to anyone reading this !

Good quality of studies, too much for masters tho
Georgiana O
Italia, Posgrado
Ingeniería, 2024
Valoración global
There are so many courses to choose from, very well taught, a lot of information provided. It's still a full-time study programme, meaning that the schedule is not always friendly with those wanting to work as well during studies.

Honest review of a foreigner at Polimi
Arjun B
Italia, Posgrado
Ciencias de los Materiales, 2021
Valoración global
Pursuing a master degree in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology can be hard. Polimi makes you work a bit too hard. The courses are very theoretical, so you better come prepared for those written examinations. In fact, come prepared for the oral exams too, especially practice being calm while speaking in an examination. The professors here are so used to seeing thousands of us, they almost function on auto pilot.
The student life is what you make of it. If you enjoy a quite night in with a laptop or a book, that's great. If you think you can go out and make friends with people from a whole different cultural background, do it, because you might never get the opportunity again. Doing the latter will help you learn Italian, whether you like it or not

Located in a good area of Milan, offers exchange programs, offers multiple attempts to pass exams, can build a connection with a professor to try and intern during studies
En contra
Too theoretical, exams can be a bit degrading, not much interaction in a classroom environment

Not friendly for international students
Nalan
Italia, Posgrado
, 2022
Valoración global
It's a good school in terms of academic career and quality of the courses. Nevertheless, for an international student studying abroad it is full of disappointments. Firstly, they don't set the Italian language as a prerequisite to enroll but when you enter the campus, very few of the office workers can speak English which makes our lives harder. Furthermore, those workers generally have this supercilious manner as if they have a right to be mad at us because we don't speak Italian. Well actually, even the professors are not very comfortable about speaking English. I feel like my English got worse along with the years I've spent here. About the residences, the management isn't student friendly at all, eg. we were able to store our stuff in the residence when they make us check out for only 20 days at the end of the semester, now we are also forced to store them elsewhere and we have to pay for the storage and transportation, of course. Recently, they changed the policy for placements of students into the rooms, they used to respect the students when they wanted to keep staying with their roommates in the upcoming years. Now, they place people randomly without respecting their comfort and friendship they established. These regulations might be less struggling for local students, but international students don't have their families to help you with all those things, and the closest thing we have to a family is our friends, but they don't even respect to that. As an international student, I don't feel like appreciated or cared about.
