More support from the international office, but it was nice to do it on my own. I felt like I really achieved something.

Purdue has a lot to offer students. It is a college town, college lifestyle. I am very glad I selected this university. It was close to big cities, yet far enough to feel safe and carefree. People in Indiana, and I guess the Mid West in general were very friendly, I never had a bad experience. Everyone was wanting to know where I was from, and were genuine. When it begins to snow it gets a bit much walking from Hilltop to class, but manageable. Good selection of bars and a good nightlife. I am sure if I was there longer the bars would have gotten old, but for a semester it was very good. Before I went over I had no idea about Indiana. I know now I will never forget it.

If you are after a university that offers a good range of subjects as well as a good social life and activities, then look no further. You are close to O'Hare Airport in Chicago, and you are a part of a very proud school community. The Purdue Boilermakers were awesome, with the Big 10 in football and basketball my favourites. Breakfast club was something that I thought was awesome. I guess access to students from all over America, and the huge range of things to do. I went over to experience a typical American college. I came back to Australia knowing that I had accomplished this, and made friends for life. What more can I say... GO BOILERS!!!

Calling internationally soon adds up, and travelling around the states can get expensive. But that is what you are over there to do, and I wanted to explore as much as I could.

Had a trip to the hospital which set me back a little, until insurance came through. Transport at the campus was free (cause you walked), and having money on your student card helped out, as well as a few meals. Definately if you are in an apartment, shop at the supermarket and make your own meals.

Purdue is very good academically and has a very large international student population; however you have to make an effort sometimes to meet new people and have a good social life, to be honest I wouldn't recommend it highly for a study abroad experience

Transportation off campus is difficult unless you have a car. Public transport is expensive. Most people in the USA drive a car. If you want to do a lot of travelling while you're there you might want to keep that in mind.

It has a very highly international student body and the situation in the middle of nowhere makes you have no other choice but studying most of the time. The winter is said to be so cold but the proximity to Chicago is really a good place to be

I really like the place, although it was a 24 hour quiet hall. The facilities as fitnesshall, and other recreation facilities were not optimal.
