If you don´t study abroad on Semester at Sea, do it somewhere else, it is the most enlightening thing to do for yourself.

the ship acts as a floating campus, this puts 400 students,700 people with staff, crew and faculy in very close quaters with eachother. this of course has its ups and downs

excellent opportunity to visit many places in the world. The people, the food were amazing in diversity.

keep an open mind...try to organize your own side trips while visiting various places in port. Don't allow yourself to be lead by the school, rather explore each country a little on your own...you meet interesting people that way.
