It's hard at the beginning, finding your own place and stuff. But don't worry, then those moments are the one you'll laugh about soon.
Of course, "www.loquo.com": great website to search for apartments in Spain.

That I will find my future husband there!Hihi Lucky me that I have chosen BCN! The City and way of life is great and in a few moths I hopefully will be back in BCN sharing a life with the man I had once met there!

Its quite useful when you know where to stay/live before you go to BCN as I found it really hard to find a nice place to share with people! They rent flats I couldnt imagine they exist! According to my experience a nice room (clean but tiny) will cost you minimum 300 Euro- if less you are lucky!

I wish I had known...
I would have been helpful to know that there weren't any kitchen utensils or blankets in the residence.

The language courses offered by the Serveis D'idioms Mondernas (SIM) of the university (UAB)are recommendable and cheaper for Erasmus students! Erasmus students don't have to pay anything for the catalan courses. You have the possibility to attend a course before university start, that means that you have to be there at the beginning of september!

I would recommend to start the stay abroad before university starts, so you can manage everthing you have to manage and get yourself used to the new situation. Use the bus system and if you are going to live in the residence of the UAB, choose a native speaker as room mate!

“Universidad profesional y comprometedora”

Overall

“Biotechnology Studies in UAB”

Overall
The courses are very interesting, you have the explanations on the official page of the university with the discussed topics. They usually are theoretical courses combined with participative exercises. The courses are mostly in Catalan and some in Spanish. There are laboratory courses of each course, which helps to implement what you learned. Maybe it lacks some govern funding, which translates into not so advanced tools.
The people are very open and friendly if you also are.
