Some problems with local dialect: Catalan but most of the people speak to you in Castillan (Spanish)

I had not spoken much Spanish before only studied it for 2 years. I started speaking it from the very beginning and became at ease very easily. The Catalan language is easy to learn if you stay for at least one year. I did not take any class in Catalan because I wanted to learn Spanish.

the presence of catalan has been an impediment at college and outside, but with spanish it was ok.

esta experiencia en Barcelona me ha totalmente hecho mejorar mi nivel de Español. ahora es obvio que puedo hablar de todo cualque sea la situacion, con velocidad y con el justo vocabulario. le aconsejo hacer su Erasmus en Barcelona! o a lo menos viajar alla ! es estupendo !
