“Una etapa inolvidable”
John V
Spain, Undergraduate
Business Studies, 2023
Overall

Everybody loved it, you will too!
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
Take as many classes as you can, make friends with your classmates, visit all of the city's historic monuments (and there are a lot). Eat out!

Final comments
Salamanca is one of the most beautiful cities in Spain. And whereas it might be easy for many students to get caught up in a more student-centered nightlife and lifestyle, the real salmantino experience is gained by getting to know the wonderful people and the rich history of the city.

Personal spending habits
The cost of living in Spain is lower than in the the United States. I purchased a cell phone while living there and spent just as much each month as I do in the United States. I do not travel as much, however, than I did when I lived abroad.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Most ERASMUS students stay in the city centre. The business faculty is located outside of the historic city, but I was never tempted to live out there as it get really quiet in the evening. Campus has a curfew which does not got well with student life in Salamanca!

Personal comments
I shared a 4 bed duplex just off the Plaza Mayor with people I had met in the city during orientation. It was cheap, great location and quite easy to find.
