Well, at the beginning it was really difficult to get along with Spanish. But after my exchange my language skills are very good. It all depends on the individual person.

Everybody tried to help me and talk slowly (although it's hard for the Spanish to talk slowly). After two weeks I got along pretty well, at the end I felt spanish myself.

When I arrived, I felt lost. When it was time to leave, I was both thinking and speaking in Spanish. I did not have to translate it in my head, and I loved it!

I already spoke spanish before studying in Seville. I went to Seville because I really wanted to know the town, and not for a language improvement reason.

Since the program directors didn´t speak English and neither did our professors or host families, my Spanish improved greatly. I did have some trouble understanding the Andalucian accent though.

Very thorough instruction and the people were always helpful and willing to help me with words I did not understand. They truly love Spanish!
