The university wasn't what I expected, unfortunatly. But the city is amazing, totally worth to live in it. Come and experience for yourself!

Get a bike and a good locker; travel as much as you can: with the train station here, you can go everywhere; meet italians! don't hang out only with Erasmus, or you'll miss a big part of the experience; go to the markets on the weekend, they are really funny; learn the language and to cook italian, it will be much funnier when you come back home. Just enjoy every opportunities!

The oldest European University-what say more. The number of the students at the University of Bologna is the best indicator!

If you decide to study in Bologna you will not regret! It is wonderful old city,full of the students from all World-countries. You will meet a lot of different people, see different cultures, in sum- unforgetable experience

Personally, I fell in love with Bologna and Italy during my stay there. I can well imagine going back after graduation to live and work there.

I knew I liked Italy, but in the end, it did take me a while to adjust to the Italian way of living. I knew about LA DOLCE VITA, etc., but I had to get used to things like: lots of small shops rather than big supermarkets, hardly any groceries / supermarkets open on Thursday afternoons, etc. I mainly went to study in Italy for language reasons. When I had to go back home after four months, I hadn't only improved my Italian a great deal, but I had also got to know Italian culture and way of living a lot better, I had made a lot of precious experience, and I had met a number of Italians very dear to me..

La mia esperienza all'Università di Bologna è stata in generale positiva. Ho apprezzato la diversità dei corsi offerti e la possibilità di esplorare diverse aree di studio. Alcuni docenti si sono dimostrati molto competenti e appassionati, fornendo un'esperienza di apprendimento stimolante. Tuttavia, ho notato alcune carenze nell'organizzazione amministrativa dell'università, che hanno causato qualche inconveniente nel processo di iscrizione e nella gestione delle pratiche burocratiche. Nonostante ciò, ho trovato l'atmosfera accademica piacevole e ho avuto l'opportunità di fare amicizia con studenti provenienti da diverse parti del mondo. L'Università di Bologna offre sicuramente una solida formazione accademica, anche se ci sono spazi per miglioramenti nell'aspetto organizzativo.

I did my postgraduate studies at the University of Bologna in languages (English and Spanish) and Anglo American and Latin American literature.
Bologna is a very student-friendly city, full of events, interesting associations, and cultural activities.
During my second year of postgrad, I had the chance to improve my personal and linguistic skills thanks to an Erasmus program in Madrid for a period of nine months, while doing a Workaway program with a Spanish family.
Thanks to some professors and to the University of Bologna, I also got a scholarship for a 4-month research program in Argentina, which was a great opportunity for focusing more on my thesis project and for living in a Latin American country.
