Travels : good to go to the Oktoberfest in Munick in October. It's a huge fun fair. It's also good to go to Munick to visit ! Stuttgart is not far from Swizerland and Austria so if you go to Bodensee and the Lake of Constanz make a little detour.
Go to the city of Salzburg (about half an hour after the german/austrian border. Very beautiful little city.
If you want to buy cheap clothes go to Metzingen (about less than an hour from Stuttgart by train) There you will find ex-works clothes.
The black forest is something you must not miss. It is one of the biggest forests in Germany if not the biggest. Very beautiful in winter with snow.
Freiburg is also a very beautiful city with many students. Go there if you have the opportunity.
Porsche Museum, Mercedes Museum in Stuttgart...

Wochenende ticket is a good choice to travel around Germany with a very low budget. Taste the Weizen bier and all sorts of bread, you will be positively surprised.
The jobs offer and the cultural offer in the campus is pretty big so take profit of it and get as many inputs as possible

Travel tips:One should book the tickets in avance,you can save a lot of money,hence you can travel more countries and cities. Pay attention to Germany DB and German wing,always offer some special offers,it is a very good oppotunity for the travellers.

I liked the environment at the University because there is a lot of international students and it is a good opportunity to know people from all around the world.
I liked a lot the different languages courses the university offers, nevertheless I thing they should promote more the german courses.

Is is easy to travel from here to many places in Europe, but is is sheaper to take a plain like germanwings or hlx. To take a train within Germany is sometimes more expensive that to fly to Rom, Paris, Londres, etc.
