That finding a flat would be as difficult as it was. A bit more assistance from my home university would have been appreciated.

If you are looking for a flat just pester the housing agency at the University until they finally give in!

Make sure you can learn exactly what you are looking for. I found it difficult to find subjects equivalent to those of my home university.

It was the best year of my life. If I could, I'd do it all over again. Enjoy the Karneval! Enjoy the BBQs in Aachener Weiher and the amazing nightlife Köllefornia has to offer. You won't regret it.

If you're from a British university - you won't be spoon-fed in Germany. You'll have to be active working out what courses are on offer and what your requirments are.
