“Good curriculum, lack of organisation”

At Lyon II, even though most teachers are good and the curriculum is quite interesting (depending on what you want to do later - it emphasizes translation/interpretation in different fields). But the administrative side is completely unacceptable, this year we started classes and half the people could not register because of the secretaries.

Spent more on travel as there were more places to visit, more opportunities same on nightlife, although drinks are more expensive i didn't bother going to proper clubs too much so no entrance charges food- more eating out as it's less expensive than at home, and also no cheap brands like at home.

CAF - housing benefit, difficult to deal with the actual administration, but worth it. Beware Bank charges for going overdrawn, they happen at the endof the month not when the accidental overdraft occurred. Don't let your landlord keep your deposit ( S Peltat )

L'université a un très bon niveau, les enseignants sont de haut niveau, les cours sont interessants. On a plusieurs choix de master avec un bon niveau et une grande reconnaissance qui permettent une insertion professionnelle plus rapide.

You'll have to get used to the non-help of many of university secretaries and all this stupid bureaucracy that they have... but you will succeed!

The university was reasonable. The problem is that it went on a 2 month long strike at one point during my stay which affected my classes and my grades.
