Try to pick courses you really like but just within one "filière" to avoid problems (timetable, tests, ...)

If you want to get around here cheap get yourself a student travel card (ISIC). Visit places outside of Paris & if you have the time outside of France (Belgium, Netherlands, Italy)
Before leaving home check the university homepage. They tell u what u need to bring along (insurance card, ...)
