It was hard to find contact with French students. They tended to want to keep to themselves and out of the 160 people in my halls of ressidence only 2 were French.

Speaking in French all the time might seem difficult at first, even if you're a French-language student like me, but it gets far easier as the year progresses!

The course helped my French in all areas and the social life means that you are constantly surrounded by the language.

With regards to written language I improved quite alot due to course work however the lack of social interaction with the French students and the locals meant that my spoken language did no become fluent like I had expected it would.
