I would recommend trying to interact with locals as much as possible otherwise you need not speak the lanuage. Also, the french will try and prcatice their english on you, so make sure you keep speaking french!

I had the problem I went around with spanish people, so we were speaking spanish everyday...but my teacher always spoke in french. I must say I haven't practised since then, and that I have forgotten a bit...

Learning French wasn't that hard... I just needed, to do the best, a little more classes at the University, but, I repeat,I've been unlucky! (obviously like other students)

You really have to speak a lot of french during you stay to learn it properly. It was nice that almost all the international students spoke french with each other

In the beginning, it was quite difficult to cope but in the end, it was easier to speak, write and read the language
