I am currently pursuing a degree in International Business Economics at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, the best university from Spain in the field of Economics, and it is consistently ranked among the top universities in Spain and Europe. Pompeu Fabra built a strong reputation at an international level due to its excelence in research, teaching and innovations. UPF has a strong focus on research, especially on real-world challenges. In addition to its academic excellence, UPF is known for its international outlook and commitment to diversity. The university attracts students and faculty members from all over the world. creating a vibrant and multicultural learning environment.
The program that I am currently pursuing is providing us with a comprehensive understanding of the global economy and tools required to succeed in the international business world.

Academically better than either ESADE or Autonomo for Economics, lags ESADE for Business studies. Strength of Economics faculty depends largely on quality of visiting professors and some of the professors holding dual professorships at foreign universities - make sure that the professor that you want will be there while you are.

PhD programme in Economics is an excellent option. Support and attention granted to graduate students much better than that experienced at most North European and UK institutions and without comparison in Spain. It has excellent research partnerships with top notch institutions (i.a., the LSE) and has managed to position itself as a leading force within economic research (micro, macro, growth, rational expectations theory), only surpassed by the LSE in terms of publications in Europe. However, it still lags in terms of academic quality outside the Economics department.

That there are only 3 Sapnish students in GPEFM program and that i will not have any Spanish friends to practice my Spanish at all!

GPEFM Program which I am attending is challenging and it has a very high international cultural environment. Barcelona is a great city to live therefore I recommend everyone Univ. Pompeu Fabra and the city.

www.loquo.com is the best website to look at to find accomodation. Univ. Pompeu Fabra recommends ONIX and RESA as student residences and they are both great and you can choose one of them dependinig on your budget but you have to reserve your place beforehand, months ago.

The University has a very good atmosphere, the site i studied at was on the Rambla. The teachers are very explanitory, and they give you a placement test beforehand. The one things that i feel are lacking in this U. are: the computers suck, they don´t have any art programs or athletic programs, only provide you with information on alternative options around the city.
