Find a place to stay before leaving your country. Barcelona has many students and so is very difficult to get an apartment when you arrive there. Choose Habitagejove.

GPEFM Program which I am attending is challenging and it has a very high international cultural environment. Barcelona is a great city to live therefore I recommend everyone Univ. Pompeu Fabra and the city.

www.loquo.com is the best website to look at to find accomodation.
Univ. Pompeu Fabra recommends ONIX and RESA as student residences and they are both great and you can choose one of them dependinig on your budget but you have to reserve your place beforehand, months ago.

Everything was OK. I can't remember any problems I encountered.
Just keep in mind, that medical services are not great. My friend was rushed to hospital back in France.

I rented a car and drove upnorth on the catalonian cost to Cadaques, visited Olot (old medieval translation center), Figueres, and other nice villages. I had a great time.
Barcelone has a lot to offer- montains, sea, nice countryside...
