I felt that it was difficult to get a chance to practice the language because everyone spoke perfect English. However, when I got the chance to learn a few phrases, it did not seem to be terribly hard. My girlfriend is Dutch, so she has been able to help me increase my knowledge of the language.

Not much to say really, studying law in English pushes you to learn the very best of it. Mingling with Internationals pushes you to forget it while drinking :) All in all, I've learnt a lot and now can understand Aussies!!

I took a Dutch language course at the James Boswell Institute and enjoyed it thoroughly! Most people in the Netherlands speak English, but it nice to learn some of the local language.
