UCD is located 3 kilos south of the city center and may not be the ideal location for students who wish to be near the city centre or temple bar area.

Don't have major expectations because if they are not met you will be let down. Instead, enjoy your time and learn to appreciate both the similarities and differences of being in Ireland compared to being at home.

I really recommend this university because all the lecturers and students were very open minded and friendly. And the courses were held in small classes that fostered communication.

It was a great time on this Island and I don´t regret a single day. I have never met so many open minded and friendly people before, as the irish people are. Furthermore Ireland is a fascinating Island with a lot of amazing spots.

Make shure you get to Ireland 3-4 Weeks before the semester starts, because if your own university doesn´t help you to find accommodation you´ll have to search for qiet a while! Get yourself a bike! Public transport is horrible! Well, it´s worth to see the whole Ireland cause I have never seen an ugly part of it! See the Cliffs of Moyer, Gallway, Aaron Island!

It's quite a big university and there are many many Erasmus, this could be either an advantage or not, but for sure it's really easy to get to know plenty of people.

Rent a car, if you can(you can find good prices and you get used quite easily to drive on the other side), and just enjoy the way, whereever you are headed, either north or south, (my best visits: Belfast and the Ring of Kerry, worst loss: not to get to see the Giants).
