A very rewarding experience
Pénélope L
France, Undergraduate
Economics, 2021
Overall
Some really good teachers, often widely recognised in the field they are teaching. I studied two subjects ( joint-honours degree), one humanities and one social science. It was nice being able to choose most of my courses and having a lot a possibilities to choose from. However, there's not a lot of hours of classes a week and the main part of the course is the work and readings you do on your own, which I find a bit disappointing. I would have wished for more guidance from teachers.

Student discounts are everywhere, learn to ask for them and use them. Also Budget! dont use all your funds in the first semester, save up for a great spring break

An amazing year!
Gabriela W

Overall
Moving to London to attend UCL was the best decision I could've made for myself. The professors are incredible, the location is wonderful -- London is the best place in terms of access to resources, quality of living, etc.
I love the energy of the city, it helps keep you motivated and striving for success.

Course recommendations
I did an independent study program at the University College London's Slade School of Art. If you're thinking of doing the same, you MUST be a self-starter and self-motivator, because though all students in the program have mentors, none of the mentors will baby you and check up on you at every minute of the day to make sure that your work is progressing along as it should.
