The overall cost of living is cheaper than the UK, especially eating out, going out, travel etc. The uni housing was cheaper aswell I think.

No problems experienced. Canadians speak clearly and in a good pace. Incresad my understanding of slang and different dialects or accents.

Using a mobile in Canada was a very expensive experience, since you pay when you receive calls. Also nightlife and restaurants was a high expense, since Vancouver had so much to offer. Books, as well as travelling and skiing did also contribute to the collapse of my budget.

Books are very expensive, and so is calling with mobiles. Use international calling cards and get a fixed phone and you will save a lot (local calls are free). And make priorities. Cut back on the number of dinners out if you want to spend money on skiing and clubbing, or vice versa.

“Great school and beautiful campus”
Sydney M
Italia, Grado
Antropología, 2014
Valoración global
The campus was lovely and huge. Class sizes ranged from 30 to over 300 students. Most of the buildings are new, and there are many food shops nearby to have a great meal. The professors are for the most part very qualified and do their best to help you succeed.

Valoración global
UBC is the place to be! High-education level, high life quality (rated 3rd globally!), awesome nature, amazing diversity... it’s worth struggling to get the TOEFL’s highest score!
