Prague is a wonderful city, it is worth going. From an academic point of you, the University of Economics of Prague offers not a lot of courses for foreign students that are the same level than at my home university in St. Gallen. But the courses gave me some insight into the Czech transformation process, EU enlargement etc. which you can not get anywhere else but in the specific country.

The language is very difficult, even in daily use. If you really want to improve your language skills you must be on a certain level of fluency

Take easy courses, more difficult courses are not "better" in teaching you something and take the time for travelling and socializing

Tips: - know basic Czech language; - take the opportunity to travel in the countryside (Moravia) and to neighbour countries (Hungaria, Poland); - suscribe for courses with a project to do rather than with a final exam. You'll learn much more : cross-cultural communication, work and exchange points of view with people of different culture, be in touch with local companies...

A good university to start your studies at

Overall
A good university to start your studies in Europe. The level of difficulty of studying here is average, it is not too easy, but it is not too difficult. Professors are very good at explaining everything and are always ready to help, even after hours. The exams are based on the curriculum, and there is no material that goes beyond what you have studied in the subject. There is also a very large selection of interesting courses, where each student can choose the field of study that interests him/her. The university's campus is very large and modern with modern facilities and upgraded classrooms. The university staff is also very responsive and always ready to help, everyone speaks English.

There are many activities that you can enjoy being a foreign student so you should keep in touch with local students (or local vs foreign student organizations)

It's plenty to see in Czech Republic. Czech Republic isn't only Prague for there's much to see outside it too. It's nice and valuable to have czech friends who can show you places.
