Do not take an umbrella. It rains nearly everyday and it is too windy at times for one. You will get used to the rain in no time. And if you don't, take your depression to the pub and everything should turn out fine.

Glasgow is an excellent choice for studying and knowing the scottish culture. If you want to be imbued with scottish spirit I highly recomend you to attend a "Ceilidh", they're extremely fun and you will learn about scottish dance.

As a summary I can say it was great time spent there for many reasons as mentioned before; perhaps too many advices could impression a student who is going to depart while I think it has to be explored also a bit on your own. The only advice I think is very useful is the departure period: on September you'll find less problems at finding accomodation.

You did it very well. I have only a suggestion you could mixt international students with home students in the university houses. I will fruitful for all and Erasmus students willget easily in to the local culture.

Being a student abroad is an experience I suggest to every student. I gives you new perspectives. You became more mature. You learn many things you will not learn at home. And the experince of meething people from all over the world is very interesting.
