Quality as expected
Jan G
Poland, Graduate
Engineering, Computer, 2021
Overall
The university offers specialised and targeted teaching for all kinds of, in my case, engineering. Learning experience is individual. The careers service offers exceptional help with CV writing and targeted career advice and search. The universty also offers a wide range of student societies, which offer a lot of activities and opportunities to network.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
I'd choose a different college, maybe. St.Catherine is ok, but other colleges are much better.

It was Ok. Food was quite horrible, though in line with UK standards. For the rest, it was ok, with a good common room, and a few nice social activities. Gym was excellent and the location is very good too: 1 min. walking from hte law faculty...

Course recommendations
Well, most of these exchange programs have pre-determined course "packages" (mine, for instance, required you to take the 4 courses outlined in the program). This is great, as long as you're interested in all of the courses offered (otherwise, you may be able to arrange a substitution of independent study for one of the courses).

Fascinating Atmosphere at Magdalene College. Very in depth and well prepared courses hold by professors.
Great relations with international colleagues.

Same was in Madrid at the Professional. Course for Lawyers exceptionally organized by the madrilene Instituto de Impresa in j.v. with the Bostonian institution at the end of the Eighties.

Personal recommendation
If you are academically motivated and independent, you will thrive at Oxford. Otherwise, it can be a difficult transition from a structured American university as the classes and lectures are not as frequent and study is done independenly.

Greatly expanded my academic horizons
Katherine D
United Kingdom, Undergraduate

Overall
Studying at the university of Oxford has much furthered my passion for language, literature and philosophy. I have been encouraged to read widely and to learn to think for myself, and I have found the course content to have pushed me and made me think differently about many topics that are of interest to me.
