Personal comments
All the facilities and the service were excellent. Unfortunately, the housing service only offers contracts for six months which is quite inconvenient for exchange students leaving earlier as the whole six months have to be paid.

Rubbish university
John S
Australia, Graduate
, 2023
Overall
Rubbish "university", unpublished "academics", poor quality teachers totally out of touch with research field, wholly disorganised university. It is structured, operates more like a (third-rate) training college, what we call in Australia, a TAFE institution, where one learns a trade -- rather than a university, which makes sense, given that it never arose in its beginning as a university. The teachers are lazy. The teachers are sub-par compared to other universities. The work for students is inferior and lacklustre. Most marking is an absolute joke. There is no consistency, either.
Go to The University of Sydney, where you will never be disappointed in anything, and you actually receive a 1st-class education.

Careers
The Careers office is unprofessional in the manner they deliver webinars for students, frequently speaking in an unprofessional tone, joking, laughing, essentially wasting students' precious time -- students who are genuinely trying to understand how to compete to secure valuable graduate positions, they are greeted with abstinence and incompetence by "careers" staff. This university is a joke.

Pros
The library space, beautifully designed, though extremely noisy at times, and incompetent IT staff -- such a shame all the millions were wasted on this library.
Cons
Every single other thing

There are plenty of pubs and clubs to go at night in the city and it really depends on people's tastes, restaurants in Glebe and in the Rocks are very nice. Some evets that have to be seen and/or participated in are the City to Surf and the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade.
