there should be more arrangements among international and local students. The classes intended for international students should be also open for local students
Remember that there are two universities in Turku, Turun Yliopisto and Abo Akademi, being the last one the swedish speaking one. You can take courses from either of the universities as long as most of the credits belong to your host university. Few people will tell you about this and there are some good courses in Abo Akademi
Even though in Italy I was studying Modern Languages, I was registered in the Philology Department instead. However I could follow any class I wanted to; for example, I also did American History, Italian Literature, English Literature...
