Universiteit Utrecht

Utrecht is the perfect place to study - full of students and with a great atmosphere. The quality of education is excellent and professors are always available outside class hours.

Great opportunies for research but it ends there. The organiziation of the university is non-existent. The same structure is used for multiple master programmes with very diverse types of workload and topics, resulting in some of them working well and others having very strange schedules that students just have to deal with. AS a student I spend most of my time dealing with burocratic issues. useless paperwork that needs to be filled out is the norm but there is no office explaining you how to do it. You are always redirected to website since staff members have barely any time to deal with students because everything is hectic. The whole situation seems like an online university sometimes and it was a big disappointment considering the ranking of UU.

I find the university very clear in terms of communication and understanding of personal situations. The classes are clear and structured and the teachers are of a high standard.
