Alcohol (Drinks) and food in general is more expensive than in Germany. It is not easy to get a normal phone-connection to your room. A deposit has to be paid for this. => It is better to use a mobile phone in Finland.

Go to the market place to buy vegetables. Don´t spend too much money in alcohol. Pay attention to your insurance, the health-care-center gives you only basic help.

there should be more arrangements among international and local students. The classes intended for international students should be also open for local students

Remember that there are two universities in Turku, Turun Yliopisto and Abo Akademi, being the last one the swedish speaking one. You can take courses from either of the universities as long as most of the credits belong to your host university. Few people will tell you about this and there are some good courses in Abo Akademi

Price level in Finland is higher than in the Czech Republic. I have wanted to travel around and to see the country so I have spent more on the fares, prices of the housing have been fixed so I can economize only on the non-essential items as the phone bill of night life expenditures.
